Why do I need a licenced contractor?
Unlicensed contractors have advantages that enable them to provide the lowest prices. They don't have to pay licensing fees, don't have to obtain a bond to protect their work, and, more often than not, don't purchase liability or workers compensation insurance. On top of that, it's illegal to contract jobs over $500 in the state of California without a proper license.
